96 silverado tire fitment question/progress
OK. Scored a cool set of slotted polished wheels 2-15x8, 2-15x10.
Went to Sams. The wheels indeed do fit, correct bolt pattern. Also wheels straight. But, no tires available. They also cautioned the 15x10's will stick out too far. My question is.. ( cause I'm purty sure a few members have been there/done there) Am I trying to put a square into round, are there an actual feasible tire size for the 8x10, or should I just put some 15x8 rims all around. |

Re: 96 silverado tire fitment question/progress
If you put the 15x10s in the back and 15x8 in the front you'll be set.
I wouldn't go back to that sam's either cause they do make tons of tires for 15x10 heck they go way bigger then that too! I use to run 15x10 corvette rallys all around my truck the front stuck out a little bit to much but hey i got them for free. But now i am run 20x8.5 in the front and 20x10 in the rear you'll be good why do you think so many people run them staggered. It looks good!! |

Re: 96 silverado tire fitment question/progress
you can run like a 295/60 or 50 on the 10's or bigger, I say go to summit and search the tires, put in the info you want and compare the sizes. a 295 or bigger IMo is good for a 10 inch wheel, maybe a 305 315 or 325, but for a 2wd you need a slimmer sidewall, like a 50 or 60 depending on what width you run.
