what kind of headers?
I was wondering if anyone has used any other type of header instead of the one for our trucks, such as the chevelle, or hugger style. I am looking at getting the hugger style for my truck and would like to know if anyone tried and would like to know if there are anythings that I should watch out for.

I dont know about the block huggers fitting in our trucks. You would have to cusom make some pipe to get them all the way out. Will you be using a single out or double pipe? Single cat or muffler? I personally will probably go with full length headers. Edelbrock makes some for our trucks and even has a set for lowered truck. If you look under my truck the only thing sticking past the body line is the exhaust "Y" pipe. I've had to remove road debri more than once off the thing. If you go tiwht the block huggers let us know how you worked around the frame and engine bay. My guess you are not worried about state inspections. That's a plus!!

I am going to use Sanderson Chevelle headers on my 454. Block huggers with a center dump are going to cause you some interference problems with the frame and motor mount perches.

Thanks for your input. I am looking at true duals, with mufflers only. I think that I might look into the edelbrock lowering headers.
