Project Shorthorn
Well I been looking for a donr truck with a descent cab for my project for a few weeks now and I came across this beauty sitting in a back field covered in weeds.
My pics are terrible cuz I took em with a cell phone. but some u can make out and some you cant haha. Its a 1972 Chevy Longhorn with way more options then I had hoped for. heres a list of what I saw when I finally got the door open. Factory A/C Tilt wheel Factory Tach Buckets and he had the center console in the garage he gave me. Cab Lights on roof 350 with auto Wood grain panels Rear sliding window. So to tell you what I have planned, I have a short bed frame with a 5 lug front and rear end and a fleetside short bed. I already purchased a 4.5 / 6 drop from ECE. Frame is out for sandblasting and im about to start rebuilding the front end with new parts. I will use the cab and front clip off the longhorn for my project, i was able to look the front clip over pretty good and the pass inner fender needs replaced but the rad support has very little damage, fenders look good aswell as hood and firewall. I would eventually like a bigblock motor but im in no rush for that. I wont get the long horn towd for about a week or so but when I get it to the shop ill take much better pics for you to see. |
