have to take cab off to put brake lines on
just bought a 2000 chevrolet silverado truck that needs all new lines on the truck, the owner said some one looked at it and said the cab had to come off to fix were the line was leaking. i didn't think you had to take the cab off to put new brake lines but thought i would ask to make sure.

Re: have to take cab off to put brake lines on
I have done brake lines on these trucks and never pulled the cab. they do run close to the body in the fenderwell area. I think there was a TSB on the 99-00 trucks about the lines rubbing the body and cracking.
