I just lost 100lbs on the Porterbuilt diet
Well something like that. I'm sure the new Dropmember with tube arms will weigh a lot less. Hey Nate have you ever put them both on a scale to compare? Old vs. New.

Re: I just lost 100lbs on the Porterbuilt diet
Maybe you can find some steel-toed sandals.
The aftermarket crossmembers are the coolest idea. I have one on my 63 GMC that I'm building and it sits the pinch welds about 1/8" off the ground.

Re: I just lost 100lbs on the Porterbuilt diet
Mine lays frame but the pinch weld is still about 1/8" off the ground. With the PB x-member and 3" drop spindles you should be able to lay frame on 29.5" tires.

Re: I just lost 100lbs on the Porterbuilt diet
Nice! What a great set up. Nate does some fine work and I'll be happy to write the check once I have the $ to back it up. What rack and pinion are you going to use with the drop member?

I had the same thoughts on mine, keep it simple, didn't want the pump. Just curious if a rack eases the turn effort...factory GM stuff really builds muscle. Later. |

Looking good and ahaha you must be around the valley somewhere this heat is getting bad. You should weight it all and see how much weight you lose.
