How Can i Fit 14 Inch wide tires in the rear??
I'm looking to buy some 20x14 Rims for my 1969 Chevy Stepside Pickup...Am i insane or something?! Don't answer that. i want to find a way to put them on without Tubing and without rubbing. This is my first Resto/mod so i don't know a whole lot about these things. Any help or insight or expertise i could get would be very welcomed!

Re: How Can i Fit 14 Inch wide tires in the rear??
with a backspace of 41/2 you can do it by mearly widening your rear fenders aroud 6"i'd think
you may not fit into parking spaces check with the motor vehicle dept as you may exceed width specs of the law and be liable for equipment tickets or maybe get by with a special liscence waiver for some tax money

Let me get this straight......you want all that to the outside? Won't you look like the slot cars I had when I was young? Just remember when you have tons of dish/offset to the outside.....it's really hard on the bearings!

QKENUF4U,
Do you have a narrowed frame back there? I measured about 18.5-19" from the frame to the inside of the fender... Just wondering, I'd love to go that wide....very cool. Thanks.

Re: How Can i Fit 14 Inch wide tires in the rear??
Just look at my build thread in my signature line. It will show you how to get 18.5's with 14" wheels and no narrowed rear end.
