Looking for 1970 Brake Setup Help
I have a 1970 chev pickup with no brake setup yet. I have the control arms but that is it. I plan on dropping the front 2.5" with a spindle and 2" with a drop coil. In the back I am just going to stick with drums. I picked up a free mater cylinder/booster and proportioning valve from a 1989 suburban and I was wondering if anyone has used this combination in there 1970 pickup and how does it work? The suburban was setup for front discs and rear drums and that is what I plan on doing as well. Any suggestions on where to buy front disc and spindle setups would be appreciated. Would it be cheaper to piece together the fronts or just buy a kit. I'm not afraid of the work. Thanks

Re: Looking for 1970 Brake Setup Help
If you're not afraid of the work, the least expensive swap would be the complete crossmember and steering linkage from a 73-87 truck. You can also use 71-72 if you like the old style control arm bushings that have to be greased.
