67-72 factory fuel door in bed?
My '70 Chevy fleetside shortbed mutts passenger bed side has a fuel door.
I know there's not much that's still stock on the truck but the bedsides do match the cab....I mean,it looks like 67-72 bedsides. But I've not seen another with a fuel door in this spot. Also, the door itself has a decal that says "Diesel Only" & there doesn't seem to be any room for a filler tube. Did Chevy have an in bed fuel door in this spot as an option? |

Nope, GM never had fush mount ones like this stock. Looking at it, it looks like a late '70's to '87 door setup that was grafted in.

Agreed! Only exception I know of was the Mexican C10 which did have a filler neck in the driverside bedside.
