Cross members

Ok, so on my blazer, the fron cross member is trashed along the outside foot or so. I know that they a notched for the frame, but I was wondering if I could take the cross member from a pickup bed and use it, either just for the end of it, or notch it and use it like the original?

This is the one I am looking at from the pickup:









And this is my current cross member. Bar stock welded together:

That is exactly what we did, my son cut out the notch and welded it back up. Gotta repop crossmember sitting in the basement, for some reason I must've ordered two...lmk if you need it, you pay shipping
