First time Wheelin!

Hey all!

I went for my first wheel today in my truck! It actually was so much more powerful then i had expected and it even went through mud my buds F-350 got stuck in!

I did burn the clutch abit however but i didnt notice any slipping or weirdness on the way home. Also, The clanking noise i was refering to seemed to die down and i only noticed it goin uphill on the way to the "actual" 4x4 spot.

All in all it went ok! I have one concern about rust though...How do you all keep the rust down on your boggin and mud rigs? I love the outdoors and muddin but i dont want to thrash the truck i get compliments on daily so how could i make her abit Tougher?

Matt

P.S hopefully some pics!

Re: First time Wheelin!

Play and wash! As long as you get all the mud washed off, you'll be fine. You can also plate and weld up the bottom openings under the bed to make cleaning a whole lot easier.

Yeah those do tend to get stuck alot, extremely heavy & it's a blast to pull them out.

It's supposed to help if you spray down your wheel wells & stuff with cooking spray.
Also helps if you get back late & can't wash all the mud off immediately, just turn on one of those sweeping sprinklers up under it & let it do the work for awhile.

the car is me. the truck was an f-250(may have been a 350, but i didn't pay that much attention) powerstroke. i used a pressure washer for the big clumps on the frame and drivetrain, and a hose and a rag for what wouldn't wash off on the body.
