I've always like the Porsche "Guards Red" - but it is an import color. I think the code for Dupont is LM3A, but it's been a few years ago.

I've always liked paint code ES it's ford's performance red. That's what was on my 95 mustang. The funny thing was they didn't offer it as performance red in 95 it was called vibrant red, Same paint code but different name. Back to the point it is a bright red that looks orange under bright lights. Personally I think it is the sweetest red color. Here's a couple of pics of my old stang.

'65 Corvette Rally Red
I painted my '67 Firebird with this color. It is bright, a lot like the Torch Red. One of the brightest reds that I have seen, but don't necessarily like, is the old Poppy Red that was seen on the early Mustangs, like 64.5's and 65's. I think they dropped that color for '66 and replaced it with Candy Apple Red. It is darker than Victory Red, but not a true candy paint.

Growing up, two friends of mine decided to paint a '67 Mustang Porche Guard Red. They mixed the paint and added some pearl. Well, they screwed something up along the way. They didn't like the results, but as more and more people complimented them on the color, it stayed. It was the dambest bright red with a touch of pearl. It would put the Porche's red to shame. Only thing bad about red paint, is that it oxidizes real fast unless its hardened right. Good luck and post pics when you get it done.

Recently had a 55 Chev. painted Dodge Viper Red. It was beautiful. Not quite as much orange as Victory Red.
