???'s @ Top cap on blazer bedsides

I see people with nice top caps on their bedsides when their top is removed. Are these simply pieces you use to cover the bolt holes and weatherstrip when the top is removed? If so, how are you attaching them? Since you have to take the inner panels off to remove a double wall top are you just bolting/unbolting them in the top bolt holes? Thinking of making something like this for my 71 and seeing if it's worth the time/money or not....

when y took my top there where a pair of crome pieces between the top not shure if it original if thats what you meen

wow that is a nice blazer. looks like its cusom made. imo anyways. great job on it. im going to do something like that with mine... just waiting on the roddoor panels to make up something that matches. getting starting on cutting the wood tomorrow.

Here's mine not as nice looking as Homi's. My upholstery guy Leonard Made them. They have plastic retainers that fit in the mount holes. I just set them on when top is off.

Love the idea- when my blazer was restored (2 owners & 12 years ago) they didn't pay much attention to the top of the bedsides, something like this would really clean that up for me.
I'd love to see more pictures if anyone else has these...
