few more updates..PB...Z06 brakes....
SO I finally got the PB rear all mocked up and ready for the custom 9" to be built. I also got the KORE3 C6 Z06 big brake kit. I have to wait for some wheels before I can put the brakes on up front since they are almost as big as the wheel I have for mock up at 14"'s baby.
I am waiting for my hookup to get me the 6piston front and 4piston rear Z06 calipers. Here are the money shots for the picture lovers. nexit up Custom 9", hydraulic dual friction clutch, TKO600 5 speed, and then a pair of TWINS for the rear ( I will let you think about that one)

Re: few more updates..PB...Z06 brakes....
You 'da man..... That was too much extra coin for only .600" larger brakes. Those 4-pot calipers do look sweet. Are you going to use actual Z06 units or PBR parts?

Going with GM Z06, I have a buddy who can get them for me for cost, so I did not get the calipers through KORE3

Re: few more updates..PB...Z06 brakes....
You guessed the twins correctly.
I will be doing a STS twin turbo kit with them mounted in the bed or what will be left of it.

Re: few more updates..PB...Z06 brakes....
If you are going with a 9" rear, there are plenty of pinion mounted parking brakes out there. I used Kore3's factory style drum-in-hat parking brake setup on a 10-bolt, but man does it add to the cost of the rear brakes!
I'm assuming that you will be running 20's in the front? Keep in mind that you will probably need flush-mount valve stems if the tire valve is behind the spokes like most custom wheels are. Ask me how I know. It looks nice, and I'm thinking that maybe I should have stepped up to the aftermarket rotors instead of the stock ones. Oh well, I can change those later.

Re: few more updates..PB...Z06 brakes....
Ive looked at the those before, just don't know if I will gave ground clearance issues with it.
I know I will need to switch over to the flush mount stems. The aftermarkets are nice, I will need to change the color to match the colors on the truck, same with the calipers. Yes 20's up front. Thanks Quote:

Re: few more updates..PB...Z06 brakes....
Man, I just noticed that your axle is up-side down. The stud for the panhard bar should be on the top-right of the pumpkin, not the bottom-left.

Re: few more updates..PB...Z06 brakes....
Good eye, I know this is just for mock up so I can get it rolled to the guy building the custom 9" When you are doing a build like this by yourself and in a half full 2 car garage there is not a lot of room for turning things about.
I knew it was going to be pulled apart at the rear end shop so it did not matter.

Re: few more updates..PB...Z06 brakes....
I completely understand about building by yourself in small spaces, I just didn't want you to have 1 forward and 4 reverse gears when you were done.

I feel the same way, I have to decide whether to buy the twin kit or the Fuel injection system first, one may have to come before the other......

New pics showing the loading up and moving to Peyton Performance for the custom 9"
Having them do the bed side tubbing and welding the PB rear kit to the frame.
