Got my radiator hose in from rockauto.com, painted some various engine parts, intake, headers, thermostat housing...slowly working towards getting my 6 running again and getting the bodywork started.

I sold my house, and put in an offer on a larger one. We put our house on the market Tuesday, and had a contract by Friday. Now all we have to do is go on vacation this week, pack our whole house, and close by the 23rd.

Washed and changed the oil on my daily driver, and put a 6.5 hp engine in my minibike. It flies...

Re: late edition what did you get done last weekend 6/27/2010 edition

I finished up my interior for now. I reinstalled the seat cover that I got in order for it to fit better and stay. I also moved the little 3 gauge pod that I had from where the radio is supposed to be up to where the ac vent used to be on the right hand side of the gauge bezel. I also installed some trim pieces and the sun visors. Then i spent the rest of the day getting the truck ready for it's maiden voyage down the 1320 on Thursday.

Re: late edition what did you get done last weekend 6/27/2010 edition

Took the tractor and pulled the crewcab out of the high grass in the back and pulled it up into the backyard under the trees and in the shade. Then I put some straps on the bed and took the trackhoe and lifted the bed off and set it behind the truck. Then I took the complete front end off the truck so it's easier to change the air box on the firewall and install the motor and tranny. I also took the bent up vent visors off of the windows. Soldered up the cut harness I have for the power doors and got the power mirrors I have working like they should. Tonight I was gonna install the power harness in the cab so the power doors worked and install the power mirrors but I have a headache that could put down an elephant. I took some pics but our computer went kapoot last night so no pics.

Can someone please tell me how to upload pics from my iPhone to the Internet. I don't care if I have to host them somewhere. Thanks

I had to tweek a few things on it,... but it works like I want it to.
I pulled my '68 GMC off the frame all by myself.

Cleaned up my S10 Friday night and took her to a car show Saturday. Won "Best Truck" and "Best Customized". Spent Sunday inside complaining about the heat. I get up at 5:00 AM and it's already 80 degrees outside, I'm over it. LOL.

Thanks! The show was at Best Buy next to Water Country USA on 199 in Williamsburg. I'll try and drive it the next time we meet up for dinner.

No big secret, LOL. The judges said they liked how everything flowed together, interior, colors, wheels, etc.

Got the compressor, air tank, valves mounted under the blazer. Still need to run the air lines and waiting on Nathan @ porterbuilt to finish the 4-link then the suspension will finally be done.

Also took my boys camping, first time out for my little guy and took him all of about 10 seconds to get this dirty.

Re: late edition what did you get done last weekend 6/27/2010 edition

I got mt MSD-6AL box mounted, and my Blaster 2 coil. Pumped up the oil system with the tool I bought at OReillys. Was gonna roll the engine around while I did it, but I guess the center bolt on the crank wasn't in far enough to pull enough torque to roll the engine over. Guess I better get another longer bolt to pull the balancer in a little more. Then put the stock bolt back in. Got some header collector gaskets, but didn't hook the exhaust up yet. Put the MSD ready to run distributor in, but it won't go all the way downin the hole. Where have I read about that lately?

Re: late edition what did you get done last weekend 6/27/2010 edition

I had an awesome weekend! My buddy Keith (n2billet) came to visit. His wife and son came along so we had a full house of friends. Friday night we had dinner out and spent time on the patio talking trucks. Saturday morning we went to the local tire shop to get some tires mounted up. We found out the battery was a gonner in my 77 so we searched for a new one. Got it installed and she cranked right up.

We cleaned and polished the paint and wheels on my 77 then headed out to the local cruise spot. It rained earlier then the heat came back so the turn out was light. Still had fun and got to see some nice cars/trucks.

Sunday we went to the Kemah Boardwalk for lunch on the water. Great Mexican food, cold drinks, and conversation with friends. It don't get much better than that.

Re: late edition what did you get done last weekend 6/27/2010 edition

Finished installing the 60/40 seat from a 92. Installed an air conditioner in the sun room. Finished wiring a small overhead console light. Mounted and wired a spot light in the back yard. Wired up a backup camera. Installed a washer fluid bottle with built in pump from an 86. ( the washer pump on the wiper motor was unreliable at best).

Yo! Bodywork and beer,...readying FRANKENTRUCK for Summerfest in the Rockies!
Working eleven spots on the truck. Nearly done now. Cool that the bodyfiller has nearly the same green color as the truck! I'm afraid I won't have paint over the finished bodywork prior to Summerfest,...ahh, it's FRANKENTRUCK!
Finally bolted down the boot for the 205's twin shifter! Nice noise reduction with the last of the 1/4" wool insulation in place. Duh?!
Todd.
