Need opinions on what to do with the inside of bed
I'm in the process of redoing my bed right now, just got it back from the blasters and getting ready to do my bodywork and what not. But my dilema lies in what to do with the inside. It's a steel floor Long Fleet. My first idea was just to Line X the floor and paint the sides. then I started thinking that maybe I should just do the whole inside of the box. Then I started putting the inner fenders into the equation so now I'm lost. I'd love just to paint the iside of the box but then I'd lose my useablity of it. I wont be throwing gravel or garbage or engine blocks in it, being that it's going to be a super clean cruiser when I'm done. So if you guys could post pics of the insides of your beds lineXed painted, part bed coated part not... I'm just looking for ideas Thanks!

lineX is very good stuff with a worktruck// if there are plans to not keep truck keep in mind it does detract from the collectable value with quite a few buyers from what i've seen over the years

Re: Need opinions on what to do with the inside of bed
On my 67 Im thinking of putting a rubber mat in, I have one in my DD and it works pretty good, just gotta clean under it when you wash the truck. Still trying to decide what to do about the sides, like you say, toss some gravel in there and it isnt doing it much of a favor...

Re: Need opinions on what to do with the inside of bed
Whatever you're doing, don't use one of those Leer plastic liners. Some previous owner put one in mine, and now I have a 5'x3' spot in the middle of my bed where I can't even walk for fear that I'll fall through. The water just leaks right down behind them and eats your bed to pieces.
I'm currently in the process of having a family friend replace that spot. When he gets done, I'm going tinted Linex or RhinoLiner (haven't decided which).

Re: Need opinions on what to do with the inside of bed
I really started thinkking about this hard after I posted and did some searching, and my bed is in really good condition and I wont be hauling much if anything with it so I'm thinking i'm just going to paint it and get a rubber mat if I decide to haul anything. I really dont want the truck to lose any value, or after all my work have someone not be interested in it due to the bed being lined
