Sometimes when I am turning at low speed like taking off from a stop I have this loud pop and i need to know where to look to fix.My truck is a 67 with drum brakes.

Does it happen every time you turn? or only when you are going over a bump while turning?
Check the steering linkages. Google how to check steering linkages or tie rod ends, pitman arms, and idle arms. you can find a video on how to check for bad ones.

if you have a sway bar, check those bushings. If you still havent found anything, i bet its going to be a control arm bushing.

have you ever greased anything in the front suspension? thats what those grease fittings are for.

Noises from the front end are not easy to pinpoint. Reason is that a lot of the components are under spring tension and it's hard to replicate the stresses of a 2K plus vehicle turning.

It could be ball joints, tie rod ends, loose shocks, a-frame bushings, steering, wheel bearings or even broken or cracked components. In my experience the most common thing to check when you have a noise while turning is the ball joints or tie rod ends and the wheel bearings.

I would start by checking the tie rod ends for looseness. Grab the shaft and twist it. If they move easily, they're worn. Next is to jack the truck and grab the tire on the top and bottom and see if you have any movement whatsoever. Repeat by grabbing the tire on the sides.

If you can't locate it, I'd take it to a shop that specializes in alignment. They have some special tools that they use to check things out.

Your profile gives no info on 2 or 4 wheel drive. Mt 72 FWD blazer popped until i noticed a change in streering wheel spoke orientation. Turned out one set of u-bolts was loose on the front differential housing and shifting (with a bang while backing and turning or making a circle or u-turn).

Mine was the pitman arm popping and rubbing against the center link, The bushing was hanging on by a thread
