Wheel Wells LWB

I have a 1972 long wide box. I want to remove the wheel wells to do a little rust repair around the seams and base. First question, should I remove them before I remove bed of truck for some other repairs or is it easy to do with bed in place?? And do I need to use a seam filler when I replace?? It looks like there may be a gasket or some type of seam filler between bed floor??
1.So question one how to remove
2.Do I need to use seam filler or use some type of gasket?

i really not sure on what they use on the wheel wells for sealant but i would check at the local paint or body shop for it!!

as for the bolts, sometimes they can be a pain to loosen up by yourself and would sugest having a buddy around to put pressure on top of the bolt and alot of wd-40 but if the bolts are to rusted out and need replacing one easy way a boardmember told me was to tighten the bolt down till it breaks off!! thought he was crazy till i tried it and it works

The factory used "strip caulk" to seal them. It didn't always do a great job as you are finding. I would use a urethane type sealer from an autobody supply store. Make sure it is sealed up from the wheel side as well. Any moisture that gets between two pieces of sandwiched metal, will start the rusting process all over again.
