how much lift needed?
my cousin has a 73 3/4t long fleet and he just picked up a set of 38/15.5-16.5 Super Swamper's for his truck right now he is running 33/12.50 BFG"S with unknown lift installed by dealer back in 73. My ? is how much of a lift is he gonna need to run these bad boys? and what combo of steering linkage will work best dropped pitman arm? steering arm block? dropped draglink? or will he need to use all three of these? thx in advance
P.S. got any pics of this lift tire combo? ------------------ 71 Custom/10 lb fleet .040 over 350/th350 good ol 1 wheel peel 3.73 12 bolt 275/60/15 front 31x10.50 rear on GMC Safari wheels #3 Dale Earnhardt will live forever in our hearts and memories "THE WORLD'S GREATEST RACE CAR DRIVER EVER"

Probably the easiest would be a 6" susp. lift, and a 2" body lift. Or, a 6" susp. lift and some fender trimming.
Those are wide tires. I hope you have wheels with reasonable backspacing so they won't hit when you turn. For steering, if you have a 6" susp. lift you'd need a 4" steering arm and that would probably be fine. ALso great would be a 2" pitman arm. First thing to buy though is a steering box brace. Should be considered mandatory, it's about $95 and it's a bolt-on. -- Mike ------------------ 73 k20 6" lift 33's SM465 NP205 350 ORD this and that everywhere Got a spare Dana60 lying around?

I just reread your post and you said steering arm block. The 73 k20 lwb will have a d44 8-lug up front. It takes a replacement steering arm, not a steering block. The k30 has a dana60 that takes a steering arm block, if needed.
