Bolt torques?

I am fixing to start putting my truck on it's new frame and was curious. Is there a book made that tells all the torque values for the bolts on these trucks? I always buy a book for my motorcycles and atvs as soon as I buy them. I have alot of suspension stuff to put together and don't want to get it torqued incorrectly.

Re: Bolt torques?

I'm not sure what year truck you have, but I have an 87' V10 and bought the dealership repair manual on eBay. It's the big thick one they used at the GM dealership. I haven't had a question about my truck that I couldn't find the answer to in it. I got the set from some guy and it included the main repair manual, emmisions manual, and a major overhaul manual. I like to torque everything correctly also, and the main repair manual has all of those values in it. Just put in a search like "factory manual 1987 Chevy truck" or whatever yours is and it should pull some up. Every truck I've had I bought the dealership manual set for it. Good luck.

Re: Bolt torques?

Take a look at WWW.helminc.com to see if they might have what you want. As for the torque values, use a good shop manual or any set of bolt torques given on the internet for most bolts.
