what do you think?

Does this look like it was welded bad or is this a factory "look"? If you have any pics of what it should look like it would be appreciated.

I don't have a picture handy, but that is a stud with a "nut" bulkhead that sandwiches the frame; no weld from the factory!

that's a poor attempt at a repair//those shock studs are just a bolton at the factory. it's not uncommon for them to loosen and wallow out the mounting hole causeing poor repair attempts to stop the squeaking coming from that mount problem area
