Hood latch spring
Anyone have any input on fixing this?
I want to first try and just replace the spring, rather than buy a whole new mechanism. Which from what I have seen are in the 70.00 range. It's held in with a pin that is mushroomed over like a rivet, so I thought I'd just grind the end off and replace with a bolt. But I need to see if there are any idea's on where I can source the spring, and was hoping one of you would have a suggestion on where I may be able to find one.

Re: Hood latch spring
I have not seen one of the springs break!
Have you thought about buying a used latch? Jim

Re: Hood latch spring
Oh I have prepared myself to buy a whole new mechanism for sure, but just trying to repair what I have first to try and keep from spending more money than I have to ya know...
