2002 wheels on a 69 C20. Which lug nuts?
I picked up a set of alloy wheels off of a 2002 pretty cheap and want to put them on my son's 69 C20. Are these the correct lug nuts to use on them so that I can snap the center caps on?

No they should have the threads on the outer edge of the lug. The center cap has fake lug nut looking plastic covers and they screw over the actual lug nut to hold the wheels center on.

Ahhhh, that's right. I forgot about that. So, I wonder if anyone makes that type of nut in 1/2"-20?

Check and see if they use the same as a 88 - 98 reg. fullsize chevy. I have alot of them here, if they're the same I'll hook you up.

Now that I think about it.... the 69 might have 9/16" lugs. If that is the case, I could probably swap out the lugs for 14mm lugs and use stock 2002 nuts.

Stock '69 C-20 should have 1/2" studs. I believe they went to 9/16" in '71 or '72.

I think the guys running these wheels have been getting their conversion lugnuts off of E-bay. I'm sure one of them will chime in.

You might want to ask member "into69z" We were at the Brothers truck show and a couple guys asked him which lug nuts he used on his 69 C/20 (he has those same new style wheels I believe) Good luck.

SCORE! Thanks for the eBay tip! I found an auction selling lug nuts for Astro vans that have the dual threads, as they even state that is why they sell them are for people doing this swap.
