Bench seat

I have searched and looked through the different posts and that started me looking on craigslist for a seat.

I found a 65 suburban front seat 60/40. Would that fit right into my 62 C-10 without too much modification.

There was also a 67 but I would think that would be different in size and mounts. I don't have any existing mounts.

Re: Bench seat

You're going to have to drill some holes to mount that Suburban seat in your truck. I've read that the '67-'72 seats fit good in the '60-'66's, but I'm not sure about the mounting brackets bolting to the floor.

Re: Bench seat

Captain Fab, but any seat from 60 thru 66 are a bolt in my 62? There seem to be some out there within a few hundred miles and I don't care about the covers. Seems like I might have some luck finding one. My choice is a new one, frame only for about $800.

Re: Bench seat

my wifes truck has an 80's seat in it, all i had to do was change out the tracks for 60-66, and they bolted right up to the seat. only thing is that the 80's seat does not fold forward..

Re: Bench seat

I just bolted my '68 bench into my '65 yesterday. Bolted right in with no mods.

Re: Bench seat

I took my old seat I bought to the powder coater today with the seat rails. We have to do a little welding on the seat back adjustment plate but that is about it.
