K5 blazer with barn doors.
I was going to just post this in the 2wd post but i figured this would draw more attention to it lol.
I think this is really cool. I've seen it a thousand times from the front, and never cared for it much, [because of the hood/fender mods]. but i do like the rear now that i have seen it. everyone elses thoughts?

Re: K5 blazer with barn doors.
I am on the fence on this one. I really do like it but then I keep thinking about the front end. I think it would be killer with some sliding side windows though.

Re: K5 blazer with barn doors.
I have an old pic of it on my Ipod, but the same pic is no longer on my computer..
In the pic it's parked on the track at some nascar looking speedway and it still has the Blazer top on it.

Re: K5 blazer with barn doors.
I have allways thought the first one posted looks like its too long behind the wheel wells. Could just be that its not all one color but IDK. The front end is out of the question. Hills is dead on and looks awesome i think.

Re: K5 blazer with barn doors.
I just noticed on the Blazer with barn doors, the roof is cut out of the suburban rear. I wonder if he's going to weld in some metal to make it flat or if he's gonna stick some glass in there for a panoramic view or something.

The whole barn doors keeps growing on me. I know I would try it if I had cash lying around.

Re: K5 blazer with barn doors.
A full rag top is probably going in the roof for an open convertible feel.

[Myspace.com/assdraginburban] He has 20 pages of squares in a folder in his pictures and i found them in there. Actually, alot of familiar squares were in there. He had a pic of Justpball's Burb when it was green, Travis' Blazer is also in there.

The back of that thing is waaay too long, looks terrible IMO. Hills did a MUCH better job on theirs!

Re: K5 blazer with barn doors.
I really like the blue version, also like how the front bumper is move into the fender. But Hills has a tailgate not barn doors.

Re: K5 blazer with barn doors.
One of the things I've always liked about the K5's is the extremely short wheelbase (my 79 has a shorter wheelbase than a 79 Z28) and the relatively short overall length.
The Blazer with the Sub tailgate and rear windows looks like it kept the overall length to original specs - or very close. The Blazer with barn doors added rear overhang - not to my tastes, but they did make plenty of them for us to mod as we wish. |
