throttle linkage ??
i just did a str8 6 to 350 swap and i was wondering what u guys did for a throttle linkage because the str8 6 linkage isnt very good the pedal half way down is full speed on the 350 so its kinda hard to drive. i was wondering what u guys did so it drives right

If you've got a rod linkage, you should be able to adjust the rod length to get the gas pedal to feel right. I think you can get a generic throttle cable at an auto parts store if you got the 71-72 setup that you can adjust.

We cut a chunk (don't remember how much
 ) out of the middle of the throttle rod & welded it back together.

is there some one on here that makes that cable linkage cause the rod on dont work i want to switch to the cable but i dont know how hard it is

i used a lokar cable on my 71 no problem

Pictures? I think you may have to increase the length of the vertical part of the linkage and/or lengthen the arm on the carb (or at least the point at which the linkage attaches to it).

I used heim joints and threaded rod. It's smooth and doesn't bind like a conventional rod setup.
 You could also just go ahead and change to a 71-72 cable setup with THIS.
