my truck got me in trouble tonight...

My ex came over tonight. We went for a ride around the block in my c10. I was showing up just a little bid. Light turn yellow, I downshifted to 2 and hit the gas. Truck rear end broke loose and we went through the lights a little sideways. LAPD set up a speed trap right in the area. I got pulled over and written up for 55 in 45mph zone. No wright up for a little tire smoke. My ex was busting my balls on a way home. C10 is now grounded in a garage for getting me a ticket. No tickets in 18 plus years. Just to let everyone know in LA area, be carefull. They are writting tickets everywhere.

Nope...nuh, uh... I refuse to let you blame that on our beloved trucks. You were showing out a little bit for the pretty lady and it got you in trouble. Dog gone women...they somehow manage to get us in trouble more than we know it. I hope she agreed to be your lady again after all that. Just giving you a hard time. Slow it down, I know how it can be tempting though.

I think your trouble started when you put that thing on top of your motor!

I have to agree...LOL. That "thing" on the top of your motor doesn't know what 45 MPH is. (not to keep laughing but no tickets in 18 plus years.....man, if your gonna get one at all, that's definetly the ride that'll be worth getting it in.

Atleast it wasn't a weckless driving ticket. Don't ground the truck for a little speeding ticket, just take some of that lead out of your gas pedal shoe.

LOL!

I like that; makes it sound like he needs to "tune" his right foot a little bit.

Exactly what I was thinking! All things considered, this could have turned out a lot worse. Sounds like the cops gave you a break, and I don't often say that.

By the way, nice truck!

Online driving school will keep your insurance rates from going up from the ticket. The DMV has a list of approved schools.

Re: my truck got me in trouble tonight...

Its the trucks fault? 671 Blower + Horsepower + Adrenaline Junkie + Yellow Lite = Ticket. Next question, was it a Woman Officer that wrote you the ticket (That would be adding insult to injury "two women yelling at you")? It must be the engineer in me that came up with the formula for a ticket above. Look on the Bright Side, they could have impounded the truck, thrown you in jail and then think about the Rag Session you would have gotten from the EX.

Re: my truck got me in trouble tonight...

It was a motorcycle cop. Two of them. They pulled me over and a car behind me for running a light. Cop was ok, he showed me a laser with a speed and distance readings. I tryed to bs him by saying that my gauges must be off but he didn't buy it.
I drive a gutless 4runner during a week. Truck is only on the weekends to get a stress out and now this.

It's the oldest reason there is! Hell maybe if you had explained it that way you would have gotten out of the ticket.

Re: my truck got me in trouble tonight...

Cop: If you can give me an excuse I've never heard before, I'll let you go.

Speeder: My ex ran off with a cop. I thought you were trying to bring her back.

Cop: You have a good day sir!

This obviously wouldn't have worked in your case. In fact, it could have been seriously bad for your health!

But from what I've heard, things could be A WHOLE LOT WORSE than to have an ex that you can still go for cruise with!

Same here in NorCal.......I went for almost 20 years with no ticket and all of a sudden I get 2 in a 6 month span. Over enforcement is very obvious.

Carefully unbolt that thing from the top of your engine, wrap it up neatly in bubblewrap and put it in a box and post to the following address and I'll make sure you don't get another ticket.................
