Re: whats the stock height of a c-10

I would like to know this to, whom ever measures a stock truck has to make sure to measure from the bottom fender edge to the center of the spindle or axle, or center cap, cause tire size will effect the height to the ground. I have some beaters at the farm, if I get a chance I will measure them up and find out for ya

what would be a better way instead of eye balling the "center" would be to hook the tap measure under the lip of the bottom of the rim center, and then run the tape measure upwards, centering the tape measure over the center cap and finally taking a measuring at the bottom of the fender.

same concept as bark, but more accurate..

Re: whats the stock height of a c-10

Out of all the ways to measure, I did this measurement in inches with a measuring tape, lol

Front about 18.25 from center cap to fender
Rear about 19.75 from center cap to fender

1980 I6 motor 57 k miles old lady used truck. Rear springs are now 3 leafs plus the overload leaf. No mods yet and some stuff in the back (hood spindles and control arms)

Re: whats the stock height of a c-10

Height should measure from the ground to fender lip. Stock tire size.

Re: whats the stock height of a c-10

ran out to the garage, and found 25 3/4 fender lip to the ground on all four corners, thats on 255/60 15 and 295/50 15

thats 6 1/4 front and 8 1/4 rear lower then stock on stock tires, but forgot to measure wheel centers for actual drop

Re: whats the stock height of a c-10

Stock = 235/75R15
Lip = center of wheel well directly over the tire/center cap.
