Using ’67 C-10 stock rims with a 6-lug disk?

I was all ready to convert to disks until I read a GENERIC statement that ‘60s rims wont fit the 6 lug disk conversions because of caliper clearance.
Is this true for a ’67? I want to keep the ORIGINAL rims that are on the truck, not just some that “look” original.
Any help greatly appreciated.

no b4 71 the rim construction design does not allow for disc clearance you'd need to stick with drums to use those rims

i'm not totally convinced that disks are worth the $$$ anyway... of course everything this '72 has had them!

Thumbs up Re: Using ’67 C-10 stock rims with a 6-lug disk?

Try using 6 lug stock 15' chevy 4X4 wheels in the front, you can hardly notice the the difference.

Re: Using ’67 C-10 stock rims with a 6-lug disk?

thanks King.. and WOW that is one nice truck!

if i cant use the stock wheels that are on it now it kinda ruins my plan. it was my grandpa's truck and i want it to look EXACTLY like it did when he fianlly sold it to me just before he passed. it was the only vehicle that he ever bought new and he used the crap out of it and it shows! LOL
its even got all 4 white (and beat to snot) hubcaps. the wheels are blue but rusty and i couldnt duplicate them. oh well....

i could go with the full wheel covers from that year but his just had the tiny caps....

i certainly appreciate the help!
