Need some lowering help.
After much fiasco, I finally got my 338s to fit. I have some spacers for the back and had to go 20x8s in the front and 20x9s in the back. I was trying to go 18's in front, 20's back but they did not fit.
The problem is now it is too high. I have it lowered 2 1/2 in the front and 2" in the rear, but I am going to go 2 1/1 more inches in the front and 2" in the rear for a total of 5/4 that way I will get a little rake. I though I could just order spring hangers as I already have the shackles. But everybody I talk to says that they are different for the truck and not available for the jimmy. I know you guys with all your experience, somebody has only dropped the back 4 or 4 1/2 inches. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Artie |

Re: Need some lowering help.
gonna throw this out there....
if you dont have spindles... a 2 in spindle up front with lowered coils, or spindle plus cutting 1 coil to 1 1/2 coils up front will give the front that 4 you want up front. rear, not sure whats done to your truck to get it the way it is now. but im pretty sure a flip kit is in order. and then ive read they take out one of the leafs.... this coming from a guy whos driving a stock size 85. and hating it....no money for kit yet. good luck bud. |
