does anyone ever two way tape on there side moldings? i dont really wand to drill any holes, but like the way the upper and lower moldings look running the full length of the truck.

There's no reason it wouldn't work. Get the good 3M automotive stuff.

I agree, most of the late model Chevy mouldings were taped on from the factory

Mine had moulding from the factory, but because most of the hardware is impossible to reach without disassembling the fenders, I put the little bolt and nut clip front and back and taped the rest. Be sure to use the dark exterior tape. It's a lot thinner and less noticeable than the regular white stuff.

If you are in a hot climate the tape my or may not work. The tape that is sold over the counter usually is not the tape the oem's use. We have found that we have to use adhesive to get them to stay on permanently around here. their is tape you can use but its not the stuff you buy at auto parts stores. get the VHB stuff from 3M not the auto store stuff it will hold sheetmetal together.

I have used 3M outdoor double sided tape. It works well, but it does not pull the mouldings in tight to the body like the metal clips.

Agreed.. I tried this with a small piece of trim on my burb, and it couldn't survive car washing if it's life depended on it. Ended up just taking it off.
