I'm not really a newbie, since I registered about 18 months ago, but I haven't been active on this site. I do read build threads and check in on occasion, but haven't had taken the time. That is, until a buddy came over this morning to show off is build thread, and I knew I had to get back to mine and take full advantage of this great site.

So by way of introduction I thought I'd show a few things I am into up here in Estrogen Valley. I have one wife, three daughters, female dog and cat, and we ususally host international students which usually are, you guessed it, female. While my street adress tells me I live in Prince George, BC – land of the forest fires this summer, I think you can see why I have another name for my spread. Luckily, I do have a supportive wife and my sanctuary, my man-cave, my doghouse... when I can find space to squeeze into it, that is.



As for trucks, I have a couple. I didn 't realize how much I loved them, unitll one stray led to another. I currently have 4. My current project is my beloved 1956 Chevy shortbox. Frame off, TCI msutang II with tubular control arms, 350/700R4 with a 10 bolt out back. It is meant to be a daily driver, but is somewhere between that and a show cruiser.



I also have an '84 GMC Sierra Classic. We call her Old Blue and she has been our ever faithful beast of burden for about 6 years. She's pretty stock, but is in pretty good shape, she just needs a little TLC. I keep thinking I'd sell her, but we just can't seem to part with her and my wife and 3 daughters love her (the girls each in turn have secretly told me they want to buy her if I am to sell her one day – sniff, sniff).



Currently, while my wife drives our Santa Fe SUV, I chase parts in a '93 extended cab Sonoma that was rescued from our insurance company after my eldest daughter was T-boned and the truck was written off – with a couple of cosmetic dents. She's fine and after a decent payout I got the truck back for $290. I put her back together this winter and splashed her with the stock white (we call her Wrinkles... tells you a little about the paint, eh?)



Our last beast is an 81 Chev 4x4 plow truck that I got from a friend who was moving and needed it removed from his place. It's coming home and will be inspected to see if it is usable, but probably it will be stripped for anything useful and the rest crushed. The blade will go to a buddy who did a lot of the work on my 56's frame and the drivetrain will be tucked into a corner for future use.

Generally I keep to myself and don't have a lot to say, until you get me rolling. Thanks to everyone who has been posting great builds, providing good insight and techincal details that keep the rest of us still in the game! I shall endeavour to do my part.
