Need help finding a bra
I knew this title would get your attention. But seriously I need to know where I can buy a good fitting/looking bra for my 72 Chevy.

Re: Need help finding a bra
...for more reasons than one.
And, yes, I wouldn't dare put one on your truck.

Re: Need help finding a bra
I took my wifes car in and had a 3M clear bra put on.It's great!Protects well, doesn't harm the paint and is invisible aside from the line where the edge is.I'm planning on having it done to my 72 when it's finished.Just another option for you.

Re: Need help finding a bra
Thanks for the info. I'm taking my truck to a car show close to 350 miles from home in Oakhurst Ca. We plan on going to Yosemite Park so I decided to borrow a car trailer so we can take 6 of us into the park in my crew cab truck. My 72 is no trailer queen but I can't fit 6 in it either. LOL
I was told I need a bra to protect it from debris kicked up during the trip. I would like to see the 3m on one of our trucks. |

Re: Need help finding a bra
maybe a dirt skirt bolted onto your receiver would do the trick if it's just this one trip you're worried about?

Re: Need help finding a bra
Ok here something I have on my diesal ( I can't post a pic but I'll try to explain it
get a BIG truck mud flap and cut it top to bottom in half take the halfs and lay yhem out with the top half oposite each other ( it should be about 6' long with a seem in the middle) now look under you truck bumper and theres a hole at each end under the bottom edge ( should be in about 5/6" from the ends) get two 5/16" eye bolts and a few washers and put the eye bolts facing down ( nut/washer/bumper/washer/nut) next get a piece of pipe the same distance and the eye bolts are plus 2" and bolt the flap to it...what I did was drill a hole at each end of the pipe for a snap pin ( like on your hitch pin) slide it in one eye put the pin in and pull it back into the other eye and stick the pin in.....now you can take it on and off quickly thats what i have it was suppose to come on and off but I think I have taken it off twice in 4 years..it looks way better than on of those hulla skirt things and it works all winter too!!

Re: Need help finding a bra
Just a thought.
I've seen people cover the front end with wide blue masking tape and drive/tow to car shows. Then peel it off when you get there. Easy and won't damage your paint, unless it was painted yesterday. Looks kinda silly but protects your paint and your investment. Last edited by MAK191; 08-18-2010 at 08:38 PM. |
