Hey for Leduc Alberta
Just want to say hello, I'm a new guy around here. Like alot of other forums I know it's almost manditory to introduce yourself, so her I am.
So here is a little about me, I'm from Leduc,AB Canada. Welder/hot rod builder is my occupation. Currently have 11 classics (not enough) and searching for more. Honest truth, this 69 chevy is the only classic I have not built. I have a 1969 Chevy shortbox 396 with factory A/C, just picked this truck up about a week ago. I'm a hot rod guy but this one fits in just nice with the rest of my cars. So here is the low down of the 69. It's a fresh 396, 40 over with mild cam, headers. 700R4 Trans with 3000 stall converter and eaton posi with 3.43 gears. This truck came from California in 2002, still the same paint from 10 + years ago. Truck has been lowered 2 in the front and 4 in the rear. I plan to give it a fresh copper/black paintjob this winter and dress up the interior. Anyhow hope to chat in the future and trade some ideas. Mike Last edited by juice03; 08-23-2010 at 11:13 AM. |

Re: Hey for Leduc Alberta
This 69 came from Llyodminster just 2 weeks ago I picked it up from there. Suprised you never seen this truck there, guy by the name of Chris owned. Traded my 2000 Vette for this truck straight across. To me it was a decent trade since I couldn't stand the vette.

Re: Hey for Leduc Alberta
Thanks for the welcome, this truck came from your state in 2002. Just pulled the import papers out, it says from LA, California and I have the license plate that it was last registered there with. You guys have good taste in vehicles down there.

Re: Hey for Leduc Alberta
lmao, I looked at a 61 Impala from San Fran. about a year ago. Found it on Ebay and flew down to check it out. Biggest bondo bucket I have ever seen I think. Floors were gone and some bent up a stop sign to fill the floor, quarters were installed pourly and they used rivets.
It was a good thing I also made a vacation out of the trip cause that was the biggest waste of 2hrs I spent on that trip. But there are some really nice rust free even still original classics around more in Cali then up here in Cananda.

There's a few really nice 67-72's here I see you've joined the CDN Rodder ranks as well (I still think your gonna have to cut a long one,not many of those shorts left in these parts LOL). T
