Beds

I'm looking for a bed, someone said the newer 73-87 beds are the same, oviously the fenders and steps are different, if i have good 71 fenders can i use a nice 77 bed i found?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Beds

If you weld in a filler on the front. The steps are about 4" or so higher on the late models. And you will probably have to re-drill mounting holes for the fenders.
