wow....
I love the satin gun metal gray look against a very traditional gloss blue. Amazing craftsmanship. Wish I could do even half that good of a job!

I like the grille fine, and practically everything else, but jeez I hate wagon wheels on old cars. They only look good on really old stuff, like stagecoaches and covered wagons.

Re: Crazy '57 burb at GG's KS
Making doors where there was no doors is crazy. If you had that custom biult for you, it would cost a bundle. Not that it would be cheap doing it all yourself. Jared that should give you some good inspration there. Now lets see you get back on yours. And don't give me this new baby crap, your truck was your first born....lol. You've even had it longer than your wife, so it was your first love also.

Wow, that is probably the nicest burb I have ever seen..... and I love the four doors.
Makes me want to get busy on my 57.

Re: Crazy '57 burb at GG's KS
That is nicely done. Well thought out and executed.
I hope the owner has the cajones to actually drive it. Too many of these vehicles get built and rarely see the road. This is typical of what you see at GG events though. No inspection stickers, no plates, no miles, just pretty static exhibits of great metal work, great paint and high dollar interiors. I can still appreciate it though. The ones that are built well and are driven on the streets are the ones that deserve the awards IMO. |

Re: Crazy '57 burb at GG's KS
Amazing, like everything that was done, way over the top. That grill is too cool. I have a 57, just a little inspiration for many years down the road.

Re: Crazy '57 burb at GG's KS
Are the rear doors suicide? I was going to do that years ago and in my designs the rear doors had to be suicided in order to open properly without haveing exposed hinges. I sold the burb before the project started. In my design the burb was going to be done to look original with the slider window in the rear door and original handles, latches and hinges. After seeing this I wish I would have built it.

Re: Crazy '57 burb at GG's KS
I showed my wife the pics and the next truck I buy will be a burb. I think she is partial to burbs I had a 87 burb when we started dating and she loved it.
