1972 Chevy Truck BB Engine Towers
I have a 1972 Chevy C-20 3/4 ton 4x4 with a 350sb. I want to swap the engine with a 402bb out of a 1971 Chevy 3/4 ton two wheel drive. The 1971 truck is completely untouched in the engine compartment. It even has the heat stove and ground straps attached to the engine.
My question is will the 1971 big block mounts transfer over to the 1972 with no problems? Is the same engine mounts used for 1971 & 1972? Thanks.

A 4x4 uses its own cradle with mounts. And since a big block wasn't offered in a 4x4...
And 71 and 72 big blocks had different mounts.

In my 1972 I have a 350 that I want to swap out with a 402bb from my 1971. If I can find a set of 1972 big block towers will they bolt in or do I need to make some frame modifications? I do not have any 1972 towers yet.
