If you are using Flickr you need to copy the BBCode and just paste it in the post. Do not use the image icon in the post entry.

Did you actually upload the picture to a hosting site? (like photobucket or something else similar)
If not, that's your problem. You might have copied in your local computer location (i.e. c:\pictures\mypic.jpg) which would only show on your computer, since you actually have the file. To share with anyone else, you have to upload it to a hosting site and then copy that URL address into the picture URL line.

I did it the exact same way that I have always posted pics. Never had a problem with it before. Let me try a different pic and see if it works.
