8 lug steel wheels
I was wondering if anyone knows if a 17" or 18" eight lug steel wheel is out there that would fit my 71 C20? My dad passed the truck to me and I plan to lower it 4/6, paint it the original dark green only in satin and then put steel wheels on that are powder coated black with chrome baby moons and chrome beauty rings. All I'm able to find are steel wheels that are 15" and 16" eight lug.

Re: 8 lug steel wheels
Wheel vintiques is advertising the OE 8 lug steel wheel in the latest issue of Classic Trucks, and I have been looking on their web site for more info but I don't think they have them on there site yet.
I'd give them a call to see what they are offering. The number on the add is 559-251-6957

Re: 8 lug steel wheels
The site isn't the easiest to navigate around, but here is the link to the 8 lug wheels:
http://www.wheelvintiques.com/index....2/07/8-lug-oe/ I was thinking about these when I first read your post but they only come in 16". You may want to call them to see if they have 17 or 18" sizes. I'm interested in what you find out.

Re: 8 lug steel wheels
Their website is horrible! I believe if you look in faqs someone already has asked about 17's. They have no plans at this time to make. The 16's they have are available up to 10 inches wide though!
Other than that, the only 17" steels I have been able to find are Dodge steelies off the newer 2500's and the 2011 Chevy 2500s now have 18" steels w 17" spares!
