Re: help on fuel tank
I am using one out of a 99 Camaro. Got the idea from Ackattack's build thread, he used the same one. Has the internal fuel pump already in it. I picked mine up for $50. You do have to move the rear crossmember back and trim the bottom of the frame rails to get it to fit. I don't plan on ever towing with my truck so cutting the frame wasn't an issue for me. Here are some pics of it mocked up.

Re: help on fuel tank
I don't think it is any lower than the Blazer tanks. My frame is sitting on the axle right now, it is about 5 inches from the ground, but that won't be the ride height.

Re: help on fuel tank
What year of truck?
If that side view is the installed position of the Camaro tank, that is scary.

Re: help on fuel tank
My truck is a 71, that position is a couple inches lower than it will be when fully installed, it is just mocked up in that pic, and my bags are completely aired out, so it will be fine at ride height.

Re: help on fuel tank
The 25 and 31 gallon Blazer and Suburban tanks fit like a glove in the 67-72 frames, no frame trimming necessary. If you can find a used one from an 87-91, and you can run a factory pump in-tank, and it will have the sump that the pump sets in to keep fuel from sloshing away from the pickup.
A factory in-tank pump for that setup will run about $70. I'm running 87 saddle tanks (with the sumps) and OE fuel pumps for my 5.3L.
