Non Drop Memeber ?????

OK, I know a few people won't understand my reasoning here, but I want a new cross member to work like the stock one. I figure with as much changing that I am doing to the frame it would look way better with something like the drop member, but I don't want to lay frame. I don't want to remove my inner fenders or cut my bed either. Does any on offer an aftermarket cross member like this?

Re: Non Drop Memeber ?????

Here is one that I found, but have no idea if it would work since it's for a 4x4 application. Its made by off road design.

I can tell you for sure that won't work. The stock crossmember is what holds your A-arms in place.

I forget that he older trucks had straight axles. None the less you get my idea.... I just want something that looks better and isn't as bulky as the stock member.

The dropmember can be "static". Which means you can have a preset height by leaving your bags at one pressure. You can always upgrade later.

am I right in thinking that the drop member raises the engine in the frame? meaning the driveline angles are going to change. this seems to me like it would be a bit of a pain if you're just trying to clean up the look and not lay frame.

I ask cause I'm thinking of doing the same thing. cant wait to see what nate is working on.

The new version will not raise the drive-train.
