Bought my 71 C-10 a few months ago and right after bought a bar off a 80 something camper special. Purposely didn't install it right away so I could get used to the original little bar to see if I could tell the difference after installing new bar...........Oh wow! Oh yea! Big improvment. Best $15 I have spent yet at a "You pull it yard"

Ya i have one too, just waiting to be installed, i got all the parts from "Pick your Part" but the part I couldnt get, were the brackets for the front of the frame, they were all riveted on!!! I ws torture, so many of them, but i couldnt get any off the damn trucks!

Oh well im gonna figure out a way somehow....maybe haha

But I really wanna get it on there, after all these testimonies of how great the sway bars are, especially since I am used to never having one at all, I hope its a big improvement.

I took a cordless/battery powered drill in to the yard (they said it was ok) It wasnt too bad drilling them out, actually I only got 1 out and gave up because I had forgoten to take protective goggles and the stuff was falling in my eyes so I did that 1 with my eyes closed thinking I would just come back later if I needed them.....I didn't

you didnt need them? so what did you do? just bolt the sway bar bushings to the frame? I was thinking of trying that, but does it work?

my truck came with a small bar from the factory.....I just upgraded to the larger one. I used the smaller bars brackets which were the same as the larger one's, I just didn't know it at the time while I was at the wrecking yard so I tried to get those too but keeping my eyesight took precedence.

Early Classics sells a "lowered" sway bar mount that is just the ticket if you plan on lowering your truck 4" or so in front. Get the junkyard bar and the EC brackets and you should be good to go.

I am No expert but I think thru 1987 3/4 camper specials and 1 tons. I just walked around the wrecking yard looking for one's thicker than mine.

Bilgewiper.... sure would apprecaite knowing the thickness (diameter) of the heavy duty sway bar you just installed... will compare with mine.. as I suspect my swaybar is light duty... Thanks

So any '67 up 2wd sway bar will bolt up to my '72 C10? If so i may go junkyarding myself. Would it be a bit easier to knock out the rivets with a chisel and big hammer

using a tape measure and not a caliper tool......It looks like I went from a 1" to a 1-1/4"...........Seat of the pants felt like I went from a Caprice to a Z/28
