Re: Rear brake Line issues

The lines that i have are for the tab thats welded to the axle housing. The lines i'm trying to find are for the tab that goes to the diff cover bolt.

Re: Rear brake Line issues

The 71-72 frame has a mounting hole on that cross member for the brake line. I have a picture somewhere let me find it.

I just did this by cutting the a tab in the cross member and then bending it out. Drilling a hole for the brake line. Use a file for the little tab to keep the line from spinning. Purchase a brake hose from napa that had 1/4 in line in then a junction for 2 3/16 lines. Purchase a 30 inch line for the right side and a 40 inch line for the left. Bent up the lines and no flaring required. Perfect lengths. All for only about $20

BUT I swapped frames. You could just weld the axle tab from your old axle back on then run the hose you need for your original set up .

Hope that helps,
Mike

My truck is a 72 but I am not using a kit. I just purchased a hose from an 80's c10 for around $13, one 40 inch and on 30 inch 3/16 premade straight brake line from napa. I used a tubing bender and bent up the rear lines. they come pre flared with the nuts on them. All I did was bend them up. The picture I posted is not my truck, but mine looks almost identical.
