Angry worst day ever

went outside this morning and all I found was a few pieces of glass and my vent window handle. To make matters worse my insurance company tells me my coverage wasn't sufficient to cover stolen vehicle in case my truck isn't found. The thing is, it isn't the dollar value of the truck it's the effort I put into fixing it up and starting completely over isn't my idea of a good time. I guess you live and learn. Oh yeah if someone near Arizona tries to sell you 20 by 10 inch Torque Thrust II's for your rear be confident because the backspacing and bolt pattern are both right. Or if you happen to see a primer grey '72 with a '67 front clip for sale when your visiting Cabo San Lucas you'll know who's truck it used to be. A little advise for all the car enthusiasts out there, check with your insurance co. and make sure you have the correct coverage, don't live one hour from Mexico, and go the extra mile and use some security measures.

Post a picture if you have it and lets keep this posting on top of the board so the members will see it. Who knows, someone may have seen your truck.

Good luck!

Sorry to hear about your truck. Post some pics and I'm sure that our members will be on the lookout for it. Just reading all these stolen truck threads really pisses me off. There is just to many dishonest people out there.

Oh man, my deepest sympathy goes out to you. I've seen the broken glass/handles on the ground twice, but the truck was still there...I thought that was bad. I'm truly sorry to hear about your loss.

I had my truck stolen a week after i got it back on the road!! I thought i'd save some gas money and take the car pool to work. the very first day i took the van to work I got dropped off in the parking lot, I was there....but my truck wasn't
My door lock was screwed, so the door could only be locked from the inside, but i chanced it anyway. I figured "who's gonna take it??" ..at this time it was red/blue/primer grey, by the way.
It was the worst feeling I ever had!!! I thought where am I gonna get another 4x4 like that???

but it all work out in the end, because it turned out that somebody just needed it for a ride. They found it about 40miles away. The locks still aren't fixed, but now i put a "club" on it:p
i hope you get as lucky as i did. Good luck

Jason

Jason71k10, are your door locks truly broken? Because they don't work like other vehicles anyway, ie. push down the lock button, shut the door, and button pops right back up. Thats supposed to happen w/ these trucks. You have to lock them with your key.

Post a pic and restart the thread with "Truck Stolen in AZ" so it will get lots of press. Try the other boards and Gen. Dicsussion too. I can't believe the Impalla stolen the other day was found so quickly thanks to lots of effort on the part of the owner.

Good luck and fight for it...don't go quietly! They might just be dumb enough to be driving it around like that Imapla with the vanity plates on it!

Sorry to hear that, I can't imagine what it's like to have a vehicle stolen but I'd probably have a heart attack. My Model A has a painless wiring kit installed, with a "maxi fuse". If I pull the fuse and keep it with me, nothing in the car will work without it.

That is a good idea to restart the thread with "Truck stolen....

Everyone on the board would like to see your truck returned.

RandyC-10... be careful, my friend had the same maxi fuse & they simply used one of his other fuses & that's the last he saw of it.

BPN, I feel your pain. My 67 was stolen back in 1988, not even broken glass left behind. It was my only transpo @ the time & for several months I had to walk/ride a bike about 10miles just to get to work. I received a call almost a year later from local detectives that were going through confiscated property from a 'drug proceeds forfeiture' and my truck was one of the items. It was missing the VIN plate & trashed/un-drivable & I HAD TO PAY TO GET IT OUT OF THE F**KING IMPOUND LOT (why? was it my fault it was stolen??... gotta love that system), but I was glad & suprised to actually get it back.

I've got some 18 & 20" TT2's sitting in the garage waiting to go on one of the trucks but I won't do it until I know my insurance will pay. Good luck in your search.

I had a 92 chevy that was super clean, slammed with boyds. It was all done up. I come out from my summer school class and it was gone. I thought i might have parked it somewhere else- it was ahuge parking lot. They found my truck 2 weeks later in Oakland Ca. Striped. I got it back and got a grip of cash and put it back together this time nicer. Then I go out to go to school like 6 months later and its gone. I was pissed. Insurance thought I was scamming them. Then they found it in Richmond Ca. striped again. I got another grip of cash. Instead of making it nice put it back to stock with the cheapest stuff I could and sold it. I always liked that truck too. It was so clean and had only 46k miles

that is terrible news but any of you guys that think a club will stop a good thief are nuts. im a repossesion agent and i can have a club off of a car in less than a minute without hurting the vechile one bit its not hard. the only way to stop people from stealing something they want is to not own it in the first place if someone wants something bad enough they will take it. most people now are stealing cars with towtrucks anyways its faster and quiter most times besides people dont pay any attention to a car or truck on a towtruck. now especially is a really bad time with the economy and jobs the way they are so everyone needs to keep an eye on their property. people are getting desperate

Well so far no response from the police on my truck and unfortunately I can't post a pic because I haven't got that kind of technology yet. (No scanner or digital camera) But I really appreciate all the responses that were posted, it helped ease the pain knowing I'm not the only one its happened to. If its found I'll keep everyone updated. thanks again.
