1st 1972 K-5

I just wanted to share my 1972 K-5 that I just got last weekend with everyone. It has a lot of rust, but it is running and driving. So I will fix the rust a little at a time.

Re: 1st 1972 K-5

I remember my first time (owning a blazer LOL) $800 rusty as they can be ,I had a blanket in the void onder the door to keep cold air out (No rocker panel) Did alot of mudding, blew several drive shafts trying to spin 36inch tires. Anyway NOW you got the bug that will last a life time 25yrs later i have one ,working on buying a twin to match the one i have ,welcome to the club.

Re: 1st 1972 K-5

Here are a few more pics of the inside. On the glove box there is a sticker that says eagle by chevy, has anyone ever seen this? It has a tribale design on it and my blazer had the same disign going down the side of it at one time.

Re: 1st 1972 K-5

03,
Trust me I know that feeling all to well. Right before my Med-board stuff went up, I spent every cent I had in savings to build a 496 to go in to my 70 c-10. Once I was medically retired from the Marines I almost lost my house because I just could not let it go. Fast forward a year, I am just getting back on my feet and I just spent every cent I have to buy the blazer. My thinking is that I need another truck 67-72 in my life. I have always like and wanted a 1st gen blazer. So now I have the best of both worlds....I just need another 496 to get her moving.....ha ha.

Congrats on your purchase. If your not in the mood for rust repair yet then a rubber bed mat should fix those puppy traps right up.
