air bag help please!
whats up fellas, new to the bagged truck world. im in a snag.. the front end is pretty self explanitory to me, however, checkin out these other builds you guys got goin on.. look incredible fellas, my question is, the proper way to c notch the rear of my frame. i have the concept down, but i want everything to be perfect and done correctly, not just slapped together. its a 62 c-10 short bed. if you can shoot some tips for my rear frame work thatd be great! thanks guys.

How big of rear notch?
Small bolt in c-notch,... or a 8" or 10" step notch? I assume your truck has rear trailing arms and not leaf springs? This is a good place to start looking: www.PorterbuiltStreetRods.com.

I'd like to know too remember 62 has the x frame tricky to notch i'm gonna pipe notch mine not to jack your thread but how did you route your front lines got pics?

Porterbuilt & CPP have excellent notches. CPP has a thick HD unit too for those wanting extra piece of mind....

lolife, im goin for the step notch cause i wanna go pretty low. mr bowtie i do not have any pictures yet, i will this weekend though, im gonna swap out my front ends for it on saturday, i got one off a 74. and fellas believe me if i could afford p/b products i would loooooove to get down with their killer gear, its just an issue with my cash flow. our business is fluctuating right now so works not always so hot.

yeah i have a 78 clip i'm gonna use i thought you were way ahead of me take lots of pics please i have a 62 also i have yet to see a big notch on a 62 frame without cutting off the whole rear frame section from the back of the cab good luck

We do make a weld-in step notch specific to the 60-62 chassis. The front of the notch ties into the x-bracing and is angled to fit properly.
