72 doors

ok so I repaired one of the 72 doors off a donor truck but the other 72 door is to far gone , I think I found a good original door but its not a 72 .so can I fill the screw hole for the vent window on the door I repaired already if I'm going to use the 72 vent windows? this way both doors match ,is there much diff. between 68-71 vent windows and 72 ones?.....not sure which direction I'm going yet vent window vs. one piece just trying to figure out which doors I'm going to use , I had 7 doors and only one is realisticly repairable.......... I'm thinking this will work just looking for reassurance from the experts.(hope I explained this clearly enough)

The difference is in the doors only. There should be no difference in the 1968-1972 vent windows.

Re: 72 doors

I bought a pair of 72 doors for my 71 (came of a dump truck) all vents & parts are the same in my opinion, they fit perfect with no problems at all and the vent window holes don't worry me none cheers, Pat

Re: 72 doors

Just the Door panels mount different on the 72's if you use a 68 door you will have to make the holes for the door panels for 72 door panels. I dont know how it would work if you were to go the other way around from a 72 door panel to a68 door panel. But there is a difference in the way they both mount to the doors... Hope I didnt make it too complicated I haven't sleept in 24hrs had to log on before I went to sleep
