Jeep Springs

I have been reading on here where a lot of people are using Jeep springs to get a 4" + drop. If you used them did you have to modify the spring retainers because mine bottom out before they get tight on the spring, and exactly how much drop did you get? I got a set given to me and I am trying to figure out if I want to try to use them or just buy some 4" drop springs. Any thoughts and tips would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Jeep Springs

Im running them

late 90's TJ rears

You cant haul much with em, they do bottom out with the retainers, I havent worked that out yet..You can make your own shock relocators, and adj panhard bar also, post back if ya interested..

I may swap mine back out for stock, caues i use my truck as a truck too much to justify the awesome stance..

Re: Jeep Springs

I'm using the TJ springs on my 64 in the rear,I only got a 3" drop but I like it. Haven't tried hauling anything in it as I don't use it as a DD. The spring retainers bolted right up No problem.

Basically the same here. I just flatened the spring retainers with a hammer which basically just took the dome out of them and they hold the springs fine. They ride really nice but I don't think they do too much for the performance too soft. I ended up with about 2 3/4" drop on a short step, you might get more on a long fleet or heavier truck.
