Wheel well molding options?

I've been curious for some time if anyone has purchased this molding from LMC. Been wanting to add this trim or something like it on the c-30. It had wheel well trim at one time as the holes are there. Just pondering some 'color' to what is essentially a white truck. (chrome is my favorite color!)

Only problem is they sell this wider molding as a kit. I only need the front wheel wells. Suggestions? Fleetsides and crewcabs are the same in the front?

Looked around at used ones but what I've found so far are dinged up or worse. Just looking at giving this old truck some 'shine' in between it asking to be 'worked on'. Did order that oem shop manual today!

Re: Wheel well molding options?

Those are not chrome.... Honestly, we see those on a lot of trucks, always have. We replace a lot of them from collisions, always have to buy sets, not like they are real expensive, have never seen any that cost me more than $99 for a set locally. Honestly though, they are cheap, damage easy and I see a lot of them that lose their shine after only a few years.

They are fairly thin stainless, and will ding and scratch very easy compared to the factory style wheel opening moldings. Just my .02 of course.

My original wheelwell moldings off my 86 are anodized aluminum w/ black stripe painted inside.

If I'm not mistaken the holes were premade in all of the fenders, or at least all that I've seen. I bought one molding piece from LMC to replace my right front after it got chewed up in an accident and it has held up okay, I think it's been on there for about three years.

I'd find some poly pieces for front wheel surrounds, I think it would look tight with the bed and fit the look of the truck really well.
