Finally got some pics of the new truck...

'Bout time I got some pics of my new '73 Cheyenne Super K20 Camper Special. I plan on taking the cap off but I want to put down some bedliner first so it doesn't rust. There is NO RUST on this truck! Need a chome grille too...

Yeah...the tank on that side is made out of 1/8" steel plate. It has an electric fuel pump for each tank too. The last owner said he never had the keys for that tank door, but I found 'em in the ashtray!

Did they have a factory chrome grille in '73? Or were they all like mine? You can't really tell in the pic but that grille is cracked and the chrome is coming off the headlight bezels...

I'm in Newberg...the truck came from Gresham. I don't know where they've been hiding it out of the rain for the last 37 years...

Thanks for the compliments everyone...I kept buying old junkers to restore but never got around to it. Now I don't have to! I think my '79 knows I've been cheating, it won't start....

Re: Finally got some pics of the new truck...

Yes, there were two different grills offered in 73-74, painted or chrome. Most years had the very same two options.

wow that's a sweet truck. If your going to change the grill, please keep the 73 look. It's hard to find a grill but man do they look good.

I believe it's a 44 but I'm not sure yet...this thing has the NP205 and 14 bolt FF rear, and the driveshaft is like a freakin' log!
