Re: Question on door fitting? 81 GMC

the door will fit, but personaly i would only put a 81-87 door on it, due to the differnt wind window latch and door structure and door pannel mounting

You could always send them up to your dear long lost friend in Md, I'd make sure they don't cause you any trouble.

77-87 is the range you are looking for. The door panel is much smaller on the 73-76 doors.

Re: Question on door fitting? 81 GMC

The door panels and glass and vents fit for me from an 89 sub to a 78 jimmy.even changed the inside handles, next the outsides.
Was the length not just longer with the adding of the extra kick carpet pad at the bottom(a seperate piece)
actual metal doors are 78 tho
